Alexander Falls and Callaghan Lake Provincial Park Alexander Falls is on Madeley Creek, a tributary of Callaghan Creek which originates in the Callaghan Valley. Its name first appeared on a B.C. lands map of Garabaldi Park in 1970, and was confirmed in 1982. The height of Alexander Falls is approximately 43 metres, and its width approximately 12 metres. Callaghan Lake Provincial Park is located at the head of the valley, west of Whistler, B.C. It was established in 1997 and expanded to 2691 hectares in the year 2000. Mount Callaghan, at the north end of the park, is a dormant volcano. There is no written history as to the origin of the names of either the falls or the park.
